he Vouvray Nectar is a late-harvest expression, made from grapes that have concentrated natural sugars — sometimes with the help of noble rot — creating a wine of remarkable depth, richness, and balance.

This nectar of the Chenin Blanc is very refined, velvety soft, rich and concentrated with nuances of honey, botrytis and tropical fruit. With its velvety sweetness and beautiful freshness it is a wonderful aperitif; one sip of this rich wine already sets the taste buds on edge. Excellent as an aperitif and dessert wine, but also surprisingly tasty with various starters and main courses

Tasting Notes:

A beautifully luscious and expressive wine, the Vouvray Nectar opens with an aromatic bouquet of ripe pear, apricot, honeycomb, quince, and orange blossom. On the palate, it’s rich and silky, yet impeccably balanced by the vibrant natural acidity of Chenin Blanc. Expect layers of candied citrus peel, tropical fruit, and subtle spice, with a long, elegant finish that is both opulent and refreshing.

Food Pairing:

This wine pairs wonderfully with both sweet and savoury dishes. Consider:

  • Foie gras or pâté – the sweetness contrasts beautifully with the salt and richness. Add a sprinkle of Maldon salt for a different dimension
  • Blue cheeses – Roquefort, Stilton or Gorgonzola are magical pairings.
  • Fruit-based desserts – tarte Tatin, poached pears, or almond cake.
  • Or simply enjoy it as a luxurious after-dinner sipper.

Serving Suggestion:

Serve lightly chilled at 8–10°C. It can age gracefully for many years, developing notes of caramel, dried fruit, and beeswax with time. Decant (30 minutes) if desired, especially if aged.
