Maison Régnard’s Meursault “Terres Blanches” captures the essence of Burgundy’s great Chardonnays. It is a wine that speaks of its terroir, offering an intricate balance of aromatic richness and mineral freshness. Whether you are a connoisseur of Burgundy wines or discovering them for the first time, this wine promises an unforgettable experience. Enjoy the charm and complexity of this remarkable Chardonnay, crafted by one of Burgundy's most respected names.

Produced in the heart of the Côte de Beaune by a historic and well known estate, this white wine boasts great personality and harmony, enhanced by aging in wood. Its aromas of ripe fruit, honeyed nuances, vanilla, and spices create an enveloping and seductive sip. This exceptional Chardonnay is perfect for those who appreciate intense, complex, and evolved white wines, combining extraordinary aromatic richness with lively mineral freshness.

Founded in 1860, Maison Régnard oversees several estates across Burgundy, including Côte d'Or, Chablis, Pouilly-Fuissé, and Maconnais. The vineyard portfolio includes numerous parcels within the most celebrated crus of the region. The vineyard practices emphasize respect for the vine and environment, aiming to produce healthy, high-quality grapes. In the cellar, the focus is on preserving and showcasing the varietal characteristics without invasive interventions. Each vineyard is vinified separately to highlight the unique terroir, creating a mosaic rich in diverse nuances.

Grown on calcareous white soils, the grapes undergo gentle pressing and fermentation, followed by 10 months of maturation in oak barrels, including malolactic fermentation.

Tasting Notes:

This Meursault displays a golden yellow hue with bright greenish reflections. The bouquet features aromas of ripe yellow and tropical fruits, vanilla, honey, pastry notes, hints of roasting, and soft spices. On the palate, it is broad and rich, with dense fruit and an intriguing, elegant, and evolved aromatic profile. The finish is long and harmonious, with a pleasant savory vein and lively freshness.

Food pairing suggestions

Whilst this wine is still very young, it is already very enjoyable with an array of dishes such as shrimp, crab, scallops. It will work perfectly with butter-roasted chicken, creamy risottos and white meats including pork and veal. Once the wine matures, 5 years and more, the wine will develop more complex, buttery flavours that can work with richer, more intense foods.
