Produced by one of the world's greatest wine estate, Far Niente specialise in iconic Napa Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Far Niente Chardonnay is a blend of superlative Napa Valley vineyards located in Coombsville. The2022 vintage is richly aromatic with bright notes of citrus, melon, and pear. These same enchanting notes continue onto the palate with a silky entry that slowly builds to a long finish with lingering citrus. Crisp minerality and juicy acidity lift and support the generous fruit and provide the framework for graceful aging.

Aging details: 10 months sur lie in French oak (50% new, 50% once-used)

Tasting note by Wine Enthusiast "A creamy texture carries lush, ripe tropical fruits, ample butter and toast nuances in this bold, full-bodied wine. The layering of baked apples, vanilla, Bartlett pears and almonds is impressive and delicious."

Tasting note by Wine Spectator “Generous and lush, offering ripe mango, peach, melon and apricot flavors at the core, with accents of nutmeg, salted, buttery pastry, marmalade and orange blossoms. A lovely, crisp thread of acidity weaves in and out, keeping the flavors energetic and fresh. Drink now. 38,000 cases made.”

Service & Decanting suggestions:

We suggest decanting for 30 minutes to release the finest flavours.

We suggest paring Far Niente Chardonnay with big, rich & buttery foods. We can’t think about lobster with drawn butter without longing for a bottle of Far Niente Chardonnay. Other shellfish such as shrimp and prawns are also classic pairings, and rich buttery sauces make for a match made in heaven. In fact, we suggest pairing this wine with dishes that are rich in butter. Risotto, chicken, veal, mushrooms and butternut squash with butter-based sauces can work perfectly.
