A wine that punches way above it's price that we will happily drink any day of the week
Traditional Gaillac wine were often referred to a 'Vin du Coq' due to their powerful and storable top wines that had character (originally added to the 'thin' Bordeaux wines to give them body) and had branding in the form of a rooster. Hence the name which we guarantee will be quite the conversation starter.
With a 45% share of the blend, the Cabernet Franc takes centre stage in this cuvée. The Cab Franc gives the wine its characteristic, spicy notes with a hint of red fruits that dominate the vegetal notes. The Merlot adds weight and roundness, whereas the Syrah lends the right amount of spice.
With its full-bodied, structured character, this wine is still rather delicate and already ready to drink.
