Château Perron is a true emblem of the wines of the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation.
Château Perron is located near the Church of Lalande-de-Pomerol, built in the 12th century by the Hospitallers of St John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta. The Château was built in 1642 and is one of the oldest wine estate of the appellation. Located in the heart of the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation, Château Perron extends over 36 hectares of vineyards in the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation.
The nose is fresh, aromatic and offers concentration as well as a racy minerality. It reveals notes of fresh blackberry, iris, peony and small notes of small blue fruits associated with small varietal touches as well as hints of red fruits and discreet hints of liquorice. The palate is fruity, gourmand, well-balanced and offers a beautiful material, a small creaminess, freshness, a mineral frame, a small suavity as well as fullness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, fleshy strawberry and small notes of fleshy blue fruits associated with touches of flowers (peony, iris) as well as hints of liquorice, caramelization and very fine hints of vanilla. Tannins are well-built. There are varietal hints on the finish.
