This is a wine to keep in the cellar for at least 10 years to show it's true potential - A beautiful wine in the making
This wine is a reflection of the uniqueness of our terroir. Along with its lush mouthfeel and silky tannins, Château l'Enclos is renowned for its finesse and freshness on the palate. Merlot comprises the majority of the blend, in addition to Cabernet Franc and Malbec. The wine is aged 16-18 months in 40% new French oak barrels and 60% 1-year-old French oak barrels.
With more depth of color than usual, the wine offers black raspberry, vanilla bean and earth. It is soft, sweet and fresh with a supple, dark, red berry. Chateau L'Enclos needs at least 3-5 years of aging in good vintages until it is ready to be enjoyed. Young vintages can be decanted for 1 hour or longer. This allows the wine to soften and open its perfume.
Chateau L'Enclos is best served at 15.5 degrees Celsius, 60 degrees Fahrenheit. The cool, almost cellar temperature gives the wine more freshness and lift.
